Project Scope
ADC was selected by HGST, Inc., for design services for 62 equipment installations and a 11,500 sq. ft. class 100 cleanroom expansion in existing building 006 at HGST’s campus located in San Jose, CA.
HGST Building 006 consist of approximately 150,000 sf of Class 100 cleanroom located at the Great Oaks Parkway campus.
HGST is procuring 62 various manufacturing tools and will need to relocate 27 existing tool to provide space for the new tool set.
Clean room expansion: Current HGST has approximately; 11,500 square feet of shell space with existing structural steel designated for clean room expansion in Building 006. The project will include the design for full build out of 11,500 sq. ft. Approximately 2,272 sq. ft. will consist of ballroom type class 100 clean room space for immediate construction. The remainder will be design as bay and chase and will be build out at a later date in two separate phases.
Infrastructure evaluation: The project will require evaluation of Mechanical and electrical facility service to support the build out of clean room expansion and the installation of the process tools packages. This will include but not limited to projects, which includes the process cooling water system, HVAC, exhaust systems, clean dry air, DI water, process vacuum, nitrogen, industrial waste, heavy metal waste, VOC scrubbed, general exhaust, make-up air, dehumidification and humidification, oxygen, gas delivery system, fire sprinkler, fire alarm, TGO system, ALC controls and simplicity connections (for cleanroom expansion) and the capacity of the existing power distribution system and the expansion for the new build out. Including emergency, critical, lighting (Emergency and normal).
