Our History

In 1984, Lorenzo Rios, Sr. realized a dream of creating an architectural and engineering firm that would do it better, with more imagination, drive and passion then any other team. With the founding of Advance Design Consultants, Inc., Mr. Rios set out developing a dynamic, diverse, multidisciplinary and multi-experienced team of technical experts and engineers that could interact directly with clients to gain an in-depth understanding of needs from the beginning, and work with clients throughout the project process to create innovative and inspiring designs that would change the way buildings function. The founding members of the ADC team knew that if they could effect these changes in the way we think about designing for the built environment, the operational and construction cost savings, building efficiencies and overall sustainability would be inherent. And, the team was right…

Over the past 35 years, ADC has been designing and constructing facilities with architects, engineers, designers, planners, consultants, and technical specialists offering a wide range of services to fit the ever changing needs of our clients. We combine the technical expertise and experience necessary to produce systems of the highest quality with a team that is passionate about creating designs that are on the cutting-edge of technology and innovation and produce the greatest cost-savings and efficiencies for our clients.

Update to our Clients & Partners:

ADC is continuing to take the COVID-19 situation seriously to protect the health and well-being of our employees, clients and partners.

In March 2020, Advance Design Consultants, Inc. implemented a Work from Home Plan (WFH) program to ensure safety while still conducting business. Furthermore, ADC is a designated an essential business due to the critical nature of many of our projects for public works and high tech/defense companies. While many of our staff will primarily be working from home, our employees have access to our main office in San Jose and all necessary equipment to perform their duties and create designs at the highest level, regardless of the on-going pandemic.

ADC’s staff will continue to work with our clients, partners, consultants and community to provide business continuity of the same services that you have come to expect from us. We are committed to providing the architectural-engineering design and calculations services, communication, and collaboration needed to keep our projects moving ahead on schedule.
